A digital communication system DSC “YANTAR-T IP” consists of:
Basic stations are united by means of IP-network, through which both control and voice data are transmitted. The function of switching is performed by program components, which are installed at a basic station. One of the distinctive features of the DCS “YANTAR-T IP” is building systems with arbitrary topology. The function of switching can be located both at a basic station and in one or several network nodes. Thanks to it the adaptation to specific requirements and reservation for protecting the system from different threats is possible. The solution of a digital communication system “Yantar-T IP” is based on the IP technology and has the following advantages:
The equipment of the system is meant for building communication networks of different capacity (from a network of a separate enterprise to a regional network). Centralized architecture is a classic architecture of building TETRA communication networks. A node switching controller (a switch) is used as a central node. All basic stations are connected to it and switching between basic stations is performed through this controller. As a controller hardware component an industrial server with processors Intel XEON is used instead of complex and expensive switches of other producers.
Decentralized architecture of building TETRA communication network does not have a central switching node. Instead of it the program components responsible for switching are installed at every basic station in this system. Basic stations are united on the each-to-each principle. In case of breakdown of one basic station the network does not dissociate and continues functioning but without this basic station. Program components of transmission gateways of packet data, external applications and gateways to internal networks can be installed in every of basic stations.
